About Shahid

I join the garment factory at Gan in 1990, after escaping the days I spend on fishing which is core of curriculum in those days. Looking back, it seems to be another existing.

I didn’t choose Hospitality industry. It chooses me in 1991. I never attend Hotel School. I learned on my own and I always want learn without school, without teacher.

From my experience with tourism industry, I’m successful. I have spent most of my career in accounting and I’m a fast learner who adapts quickly to the new challenges and changes. During my time in tourism industry, i have successfully completed certificate Level 3 in accounting & Diploma in Accounting in 2007 from International Association of Book-Keepers (IAB)

From 1st June 2009, i was appointed as a councillor for S.Meedhoo and i am very glad to have the opportunity to serve the people of my native Island and the Government.
