People complain about how many messages they get sent, especially on the Eid. I receive total of 15 eid greeting sms. After replying to the people who send me eid greetings, I sent my simple ”Eid mubarak” message to very special one knowing that I will get reply within seconds. As I anticipated, my phone blinks with sound.
I read it more that twice and I have to believe this is what I got:
“I don’t want any kind of grytin from u. U hav cousd enuf pain for us. Just mind ur own bloody business. And just know that I wil never ever forgiv u. u hav done enuf. And I will never wish u any gud thing”.
Well done. But you are really special one.
Since the beginning of the Republic of Maldives, how many constitutions have been in force to rule this country? 3, 4 Grrr…I don’t know. But dozens of times, parts of these constitutions were changed. None of them were prepared by us – the people. The ruling class prepared them all. Together we live within this doctrine. We are the ones who bear witness and suffer because of the things they have done.
Our problems were deepened with every new (I bet you on this, even the constitution on course) constitution. The oppression upon us got worse. Because we were not the ones who designed these constitutions. None of the change was made in accordance with our demands.
The present regime has not found a solution to our problems over the past 29 years. What they have done so far is obvious. There are only blood, teardrops and poverty in the picture they have drawn.
It’s necessary to mention the hundreds or even thousands of problems that we live with daily or witness in our streets, in our workplaces, on our televisions (Our children’s are exposed to conspiracy theories and mentally abused). In fact, we know all these. Because we confront them ourselves.
The education of our children is a problem for us. No matter how hard we work, we cannot solve these problems. We are beaten by police in front of our kids. Our sons and daughters are massacre on jail and in the streets. Drug addicts and sex offenders live freely in our society. Our children’s abuse everyday. Our islands are deserted. Our songs (Aladadi bodo baukalo) are banned. Our languages (Addu, Fuvah Mulak, Huvadhu) are banned in our schools. Inflation and excessive price rises are making us suffer. Our small tradesmen suffer, not the monopolies. We are all being cheated, and promises made to us are being reneged on.
The rulers of the country are, at the same time, the creators of all our problems. It is obvious now and from this point in time, we cannot hope to obtain any solution for our problems from the parties in the parliament or parliament itself. THESE CANNOT SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS.
What you have to do is try to say the name of the COLORS (Not what it spelled) I bet you can’t!YELLOW BLUE ORANGE
BLACK RED GREEN
PURPLE YELLOW RED
ORANGE GREEN BLACK
BLUE RED PURPLE
GREEN BLUE ORANGE
Media & Politics:
Political brain-washed to work on the emotions of individual or group until they reach an abnormal level of anger, fear, excitement or nervous tension.
Everyday, you will find TVM and VOM broadcasting subliminal messages to the public. Here is nicely created message: “AMAN AMAANKAN – THARAQEEGE SIRU’” Read it again, probably you have seen this message a thousand times.
Tell me what is the real meaning and the purpose of this message and several other messages broadcast everyday?
In the entire history of man, no one has ever been brain-washed and realize, or believed, that he had been brain-washed. Think again…

What? Preventing you to get brainwashed by Gayyoom again..

Who? You can end 29 years of suffering by voting for change.
Now, this your time to change the way you think about the matters to you. Just listen carefully when politicians speak to you. They are playing with your life by lying. Every little decision they mad affect your life one way or another.
Each and every Maldivian is invited to be part of the solution to END 29 YEARS of suffering – to get informed, to understand, to listen, and to reach out.
To make a difference, we don’t have to go for revolution to change the government. First thing we have to create a perfect political system and then we need to find a good guy – a good guy who can joy in helping us to make better tomorrow.
A perfect political system is only half of the solution to the problem of finding a perfect way of living; a way of living where every person is accepted, equal and free. Creating perfect political system is the responsibility of our MP’s and I just hope this time they will do their job. Once the constitution is complete, it’s our responsibility to make a difference by voting for change.
Finding a good guy is real problematic in Maldives. Simply we have never experience a political system that offer equal opportunity to all citizens.
But if you look thru a good lens to the leading politicians, you will find two side of each of them. One side, evil and selfish and the other side in which man finds joy in helping his fellow man.
To create a perfect society, we need to change ourselves. We need to take the side of good in the struggle within ourselves.
No matter what I say, the choice is yours and you have a right to vote and make a difference.

In Addu atoll, unemployment has become the largest issue. Due to the unavailability of jobs for the school leavers, various problems have been surfacing. Many works have to be done in order to solve these problems and I believe tourism is the biggest dream of Adduans to fulfill their requirement of live peace and harmony.
With the first ever major tourist resort set to open in Addu atoll there is renewed hope for the future of the atoll which had been denied during the past three decades. But again, this optimism is now overshadowed by rising crime and lack of public order on the island.
On December 4th, a group of people trespassed to Herathera Resort and attempted to cause unrest over a payment issue. One of my friends who witness the incident told me that they came to project office with knifes and cutters.
November 25th, two senior employees of Herethere Resort with verbal abuses and had threatened to beat them up while they were on coffee at corner park Hulhudhoo. The incident happened in front of the 2 top officials of Island Office. Senior Island Chief Jameel and Island Chief Ali Anwar encouraged the verbal attack.
In May, one of the construction staff was severely beaten by a group of men who came from Hullhudhoo-Meedhoo. They entered the premises of the resort after smashing the security fence, and had even threatened the project manager with a knife.
Imagine, if these kind of problems continue to arise when the island is full of jolidaymakers? Certainly, it will affect our tourism very badly.
We urge the government to take more concrete steps to stop crime on our islands. If the government fails to control this people, it could have serious repercussions on various development activities now undertaken in Addu atoll.
In my view, we have to do something on community level and its time to start to communicate with young people of our islands to make them understand how important take advantage of this new opportunity. With better understanding of themselves, their personal identity, and their place in the community, young people will realize who they can be or what they can be. We need motivate them to help promoting the tourism in their Atoll and take benefit from this industry. Herathera Island Resort will be a great opportunity to bring life back to Hulhudhoo-Meedhoo as many young men from the island are still working in resorts.
We need them to believe they are valuable in their community and know they have a power to make change happen. We need give them more opportunities to change the things that matter to them. We can create changes recognizing that young people are assets and experts about their communities. Ask young person about their island and you will hear perceptive insights and clear ideas about ways to improve. Ask few more questions and you may find deep passion for equity and desire to make their island better.
I believe Tourism is a “people business”. We can encourage members of our community to take ownership of tourism by working in the industry. We can work with the industry and the community to inculcate a hospitality culture, to further develop the quality service to assure quality at retail shops and restaurants for our visitors and protect their interests as consumers. Most importantly, we need to keep clean our beaches and historic places where our guest can visit on their sightseeing trip.
Agloco has been generating a lot of buzz lately as a new way for people to earn a little extra money from their normal web browsing activities… possibly a lot of extra money if you refer others to the program.
I suggest you take a few minutes to visit Agloco’s site, and if you think this idea has potential, sign up for a free account. At this time their site is pretty straightforward and uncomplicated, so feel free to dig around and see if their business model makes sense to you. This could be a nice little bonus income stream for those participating in the Million Dollar Experiment.
